The “Check Up” includes;
- A cabin vent temperature reading,
- Test condenser temperature and compressor suction pressure,
- Check drive belt tension , compressor & clutch, and visible oil or refrigerant stains on the compressor, hoses/pipes & fittings
- And a general cursory appraisal.
- We can then give you an informed appraisal of your A/C system including if any rectification or optimization work is recommended.

NEED FOR MORE THOROUGH TESTING
In some cases a more thorough inspection will be necessary – such as whenever there is any suspicion of a leak . As well as being required to be licenced by the Australian Refrigeration Council , all air conditioning professionals are under a Duty of Care to ensure the integrity of a system before adding refrigerant. In some cases this is going to require a more thorough investigation including leak testing. This is because of Australia’s strong environmental stance against global warming and the harmful effects of automotive refrigerant R134A if it gets out into the atmosphere.
Please note : We are obliged to assume that a system may be suseptable to leaks if it has either no refrigerant charge or a low refrigerant charge – when it comes to us. This is our Duty of Care
